Budget 2017 Malaysia Household

Budget 2017 Malaysia was released 21st of October, there are a few updates on BR1M to support Malaysians. These categories of  subsidisation amount goes up generally.

  • If you’re in the group of under RM3000 total income per household group, your BR1M amount goes up to RM1200.
  • For the group of household total income between RM3000 and RM4000, the amount goes up to RM900.
  • If the person is single and personal income is under RM2000, the subsidisation amount goes up to RM450.

Different categories of household items also receive subsidisations from he government according to budget 2017.

  • Cooking gas, toll, and public transport receives up to RM10 billion.
  • Seeds and fertiliser including paddy hill receives up to RM1.3 billion.
  • Incentives for small rubber estate receives up to RM250 million.
  • Households that are affected by floods during November `16, December ’16 and January ’17 are eligible to claim RM200 per month as relief.
  • 57,000 fishermen are eligible to claim RM200-RM300 per month as allowance.
